A Message from Brittany on the story behind this video: At the start of this season Tom and I began laying out a pre-practice warm up and post-practice off-ice workout for my teams. After several tweaks and adjustments, we now have a warm up and workout that the girls are enjoying. It is still hard work but they are all doing it together. And a few are doing it every time before they step on the ice. Their balance is improving off-ice and on. Their leg and hip strength as well as power are improving, and it really shows in their programs. Their trunk strength and posture have improved with much better posture and alignment on ice. Their endurance is also improving making every practice better. We decided to put it on film to make teaching easier for future teams and then we decided to make it available to everyone. |
